mobiLAB welcomes a Chinese delegation as part of the RTS conference
The 12th edition of the International Symposium on Sustainable Development of Urban Transport Systems – RTS (Rapid Transit Systems) took place on 4-6 November 2019. Jointly initiated by Tongji University (Shanghai), ParisTech and the French Ministry of the Environment, the event was held in France this year around the theme of “Smart cities and sustainable transport systems”. The participants, who were mainly French and Chinese experts in public transport and urban management, were offered a roving programme that took in Lyon, Versailles, Paris and Valenciennes, and included a stopoff at mobiLAB.
IVM, a VEDECOM entity, has been a partner of the conference since it was first set up in 2007. It was in this capacity that the Institute had the pleasure of welcoming a Chinese delegation on 6 November for a day of lectures. Chinese and French participants, including some of VEDECOM’s researchers, gave a series of talks on the new mobilities and the autonomous vehicle. This was the perfect opportunity for offering participants a visit to mobiLAB, as well as a trial run in the enhanced perception shuttles on the allée des Marronniers!
The 2020 edition of the RTS event will be held in Shanghai on 20 October 2020.
