Philippe Watteau appointed Managing Director of the VEDECOM Institute
VEDECOM, the Institute for Low-Carbon Intelligent Vehicles and their Mobility, has announced the appointment of its new Managing Director, Philippe Watteau. He took office on 1 October 2018.
A graduate of the EDHEC Business School and holder of a BA in European Law, Philippe Watteau began his career with Groupe Renault, where he held various positions in the fields of strategy and commercial development. In 2008, he moved to CEA as Strategic Marketing Manager. He then became Deputy Director of CEA Tech, and later Director of Industrial Partnerships. He went on to implement the development strategy over a broad technological spectrum, from new energies to micro-electronics. Since 2014, he has been Director of the CEA List, which has 30 digital research laboratories. He helped to create ecosystems and communities stimulating the new innovation models on topics associated with future industry and artificial intelligence. He also held the position of R&D Development Director at Air Liquide.
With a wealth of experience in the automotive industry and research, Philippe Watteau will work with all the teams to breathe life into ideas and visions to make VEDECOM a global innovation player in the field of mobility.
