VEDECOM: 3rd edition of its Annual Conference SMIV 2018
NEW
VEDECOM organizes the 3rd edition of its annual conference SMIV – Smart Mobility and Intelligent Vehicle – on next 27th of November, 2018.
This year, the SMIV Conference intends to deepen scientific knowledge on two transversal topics related to tomorrows’ mobility: new mobility solutions and virtual reality, relation between the automated vehicle and its environment. Experts from inside and outside the VEDECOM Institute will address these major issues.
Session 1: “New Mobility Solutions and Virtual Reality”
This session will present the contribution of simulation and virtual reality in the design and evaluation of new mobility solutions and their associated tools. A Keynote speech by Professor Kay AXHAUSEN from ETH Zurich Keynote will highlight this issue followed by 6 presentations based on various research disciplines from Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science to Human Sciences.
Session 2: “The automous vehicle and its environment”
This session will be dedicated to the interactions between the autonomous vehicle and its environment. Several aspects will be addressed such as car-to-car and car- to-infrastructure communication, interactions between cars and road users and the societal impact of the autonomous vehicle. The session will be introduced by a Keynote given by Professor Denis GINGRAS from University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
