‘Legal Aspects of Autonomous Vehicles’ certificate recognised by France Mobilités
The ‘Legal Aspects of Autonomous Vehicles’ higher education certificate, jointly run by VEDECOM and Aix-Marseille Université, has been recognised by the France Mobilités platform. The aim of this course and certificate is to give a comprehensive overview of the law applicable to the use of autonomous vehicles, from the required conditions for testing to the establishment of where responsibility lies in the event of an accident. It is intended for all legal professions concerned by these issues, including lawyers, legal experts in the automotive sector and insurers.
The France Mobilités platform was launched by the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition on 20 March 2019. It aims to connect local authorities and service providers, in order to support the testing and implementation of innovative projects responding to mobility needs across all regions and communities. The VEDECOM training programme is among the services that the Institute offers on the platform. This recognition establishes the ‘Legal Aspects of Autonomous Vehicles’ certificate as a training course which offers high added value for the development of skills in local authorities.
